Zero 88 is expecting a busy Prolight+Sound expo in Frankfurt next week … where the UK based lighting control specialist will continue its roadmap of powerful, incremental updates for both hardware and software.
Being launched is … an Apple Watch focus tool, the powerCON TRUE1 Alphapack 3, the Chilli Pro 12 (with dimmer, relay, bypass, RCD & RBCO options) and ZerOS 7.9.3 … all in Hall 3, Stand B50.
The new Apple Watch app acts as a quick, easy and safe focus remote, providing access to channels and groups with tools such as Highlight and RemDim. It’s a free update for all Zero 88 customers and users and works with all Zero 88 consoles running ZerOS (FLX, ORB XF, Solution and legacy consoles like Leap Frog 48 & 96, ORB and FROG2.
The benefits include, not needing someone sat at the lighting console when focusing lamps and alleviating the need to get expensive smartphones out whilst working at height … making the process much safer!
The App has been developed based upon customer requests and feedback. Via forum posts on the website, the Zero R ‘n’ D team has engaged and kept customers updated with development progress and also received feedback at each stage which has been extremely helpful.
The powerCON TRUE1 Alphapack 3 brings Neutrik’s locking connectivity to the successful range of three channel portable distributed dimming devices, first launched last year.
All Alphapack 3 units include automatic overload protection, two M10 threaded mounting holes for easy rigging on both horizontal and vertical bars, plus full DMX addressing to any channel.
ZerOS 7.9.3 adds support for Lumen Radio’s CRMX Nova TX USB and Enttec’s USB Pro devices, as well as completely revamped patching and setup screens. This continues Eaton’s ongoing strategy to make Zero 88 products even easier, quicker and more flexible.
FLX and FLX 8 consoles, the ZerOS Wing and the SCD Server Pro DMX generator will be on display at the show, illustrating how these units can be used in standalone mode or networked together to provide a suite of powerful tools and a control solution that quickly becomes familiar.
The Chilli Pro 12 dimmer will also be highlighted – with options for dimming, relay, bypass, RCD and RCBO. The redesigned units join the reworked Chilli Pro 24 dimmers shown last year, now with the control options of dimmer, relay or bypass (“hard power”) and the safety options of MCBs, RCD or RCBOs. It’s available in 10A or 16A variants and the new design features a new wiring chamber for easier installation and a lockable door to stop little fingers playing with the switches!
That’s not all … Zero 88’s popular Solution and ORB XF consoles will be on the stand, now benefiting from a complete software revamp in ZerOS 7.9.2. earlier this year.
Come and discover the advantages unleashed with ZerOS 7.9.2, the biggest software release and upgrade since these consoles were launched!
