Eaton’s Zero 88 is looking forward to a busy Prolight+Sound expo in Frankfurt … where, on Stand B50 in Hall 3.0, the specialist UK based lighting control manufacturer will highlight a range of innovative and exciting lighting control products including its award-winning, flagship FLX console range.
The all new FLX S24 and FLX S48 consoles, the original FLX and ZerOS Wing will be demonstrated on an action-packed stand, all running the latest version of console software – ZerOS 7.9.4. Visitors can also see the Chilli Pro range including the new Chilli Pro 12 Bypass dimmer with RCBOs. A selection of data distribution and networking devices from Zero 88 will also be showcased, including Split2.8 RDM, EtherN.8 RDM and the SCD Server Pro DMX generator.
Zero 88’s PLASA award winning ‘RigSync’ is an inventive time-saving feature available within the latest version of ZerOS console software, and will be demonstrated on the booth with a range of equipment, including the Betapack 3 RDM dimmer. RigSync keeps the console synchronized with the lighting rig, demystifies the complexities of DMX without the need to understand or think too hard about patching, allowing console users more time to focus on being imaginative … while the technical elements sort themselves out via the console automatically communicating with the lighting rig.
FLX S24 is a new console that runs up to 48 LED, moving lights and conventional fixtures and is easy to learn and straightforward to use, delivering huge flexibility and multiple features at an affordable price.
FLX S48, also new, has double the power of FLX S24, offering intuitive and hands-on control of up to 96 fixtures, and a touch monitor output for quick access to palettes / show overview. The quantity of available playbacks, groups and palettes are all also doubled.
Both FLX S24 and S48 are ultimately portable, powerful controllers with a small footprint, with free apps available for wireless monitoring of the lighting rig, and support for a range of networking accessories. Inbuilt tools include the cool “RigSync” feature, helpful step by step “Guidance”, and “Auto Palettes” to assist with the prep work. Colours can be quickly and accurately selected via the multi-touch Colour & Image Picker, or the encoder wheels or by selecting colours contained within “Mood Boards by LEE Filters”.
Moving light control is quick and intuitive via precise encoder wheels, multi-touch Pan / Tilt grid and the automatic “Move on Dark” features. Automatic effects like “Figure 8”, “Rainbow” and “Fly-In” are all included, and programming time can be further optimized with a simple three-step programming method for moving lights, colour changing fixtures and conventionals.
From design to manufacture, Zero 88’s FLX and FLX 8 consoles have been developed to maximise creative time and work across wide range of applications and sectors, especially education, houses of worship, fringe theatre, community venues, corporate events, concerts, rental, fashion, festivals, holiday parks, cruise ships, TV productions and many more.
ZerOS Wing and the SCD Server Pro DMX generator will illustrate how all these units can be used in standalone mode or networked together to provide a suite of powerful, user-friendly tools and a familiar control solution.
Zero 88’s Chilli Pro 12 range will be highlighted. These recently redesigned units join the reworked Chilli Pro 24 range, with the multiple control options of dimming, relay or bypass (“hard power”) and the safety options of MCBs, RCD or RCBOs. Available in 10A, 16A and 25A variants, the new design features a wiring chamber for easier installation, optional individual channel bypass switches for use when direct, uninterrupted mains power is required, and a lockable door to stop little fingers playing with the switches!
