ArKaos, provider of technology for live visual performances, has appointed White Light as the exclusive UK distributor for their range of Show and Lighting media server products.
ArKaos’ product line offers software and hardware combinations that allow those working on shows of all scales (and budgets) to incorporate video, projection or LED control into their productions and integrate them with the show’s lighting. The range starts with the ArKaos Media Master Express software, allowing smooth integration of video into light shows, theatre productions and other performances. The ArKaos LED Mapper allows the video output to be mapped to drive LED panels. ArKaos’ MediaMaster Pro brings uncompromised control to twelve layers of high-definition video, including LED panel output and DMX controlled. All of ArKaos’ software solutions are compatible with both PCs and Macs.
For those preferring an integrated hardware and software solution, ArKaos’ A-series Media Servers are optimised and pre-loaded with a vast library of high-quality digital media from the world’s best visual content providers.
“We are delighted to welcome ArKaos to the White Light family of products,” comments Peter Threadgold, White Light’s Sales Director. “Projection and LEDs are increasingly an integrated part of show design, often falling under the remit of the lighting department and, in doing so, rapidly demanding that ‘lighting controls’ extend far beyond conventional lighting consoles. While there are now a number of companies offering media servers, ArKaos’ software solutions allow those on tighter budgets but with existing PC or Mac hardware to get up and running as cost-efficiently as possible, while their media servers are the perfect solution for more complex, demanding shows.”
“This new relationship with White Light will greatly expand our ability to reach out to dealers and users in the UK market,” comments ArKaos CEO Marco Hinic. “White Light is a very strong distributor with a proven record of carrying leading brands of entertainment technology together with a top-of-the-class support. We are pleased to work with a partner that can take our technology to those eager to benefit from video becoming an increasingly important part of show, lighting and décor design.”
White Light will be showing the ArKaos range of products at both PLASA Focus in Leeds on April 27th and 28th, and then at the ABTT Theatre Show in London on June 16th and 17th.
