Leading UK live event production and design practice LarMac LIVE has relocated to bigger, better and brighter premises in central London.
The move reflects a buoyant 2011 and looks forward to a busy 2012, with several major events already confirmed for the company, known for its fresh and innovative approach to live production and event design.
The additional space and the new facilities will allow LarMac’s Jo MacKay and Ian Greenway to concentrate on their passion and penchant for delivering world class live performance shows and events.
The scope of their work includes site co-ordination and technical and creative production and management, working alongside promoters and brands who share their vision for excellence, creativity and high production values.
The new Long Lane, London SE1 location is right at the heart of the capitol’s vibrant Bermondsey Street area, overlooked by Renzo Piano’s famous landmark skyscraper Shard London Bridge (‘The Shard’) – which will be the tallest building in the EU when completed this year!.
The new space offers more desk, meeting and workshop space and a warm, airy atmosphere that will enhance the imaginative output and lateral thinking that can be applied to the wide range of projects in which LarMac LIVE is engaged.
“We specifically want to grow the creative side of LarMac LIVE which includes show and event design and formatting concepts and ideas that can be offered as an integrated element of our production organisation,” says Greenway.
LarMac LIVE is already busy working on its regular UK festivals which – so far – this year include Rockness, Sonisphere, Camp Bestival, Underage, Field Day, Creamfields and Bestival. A number of other projects are also in the pipeline.
2011 ended on a high note with the company handling site management and location facilitation for the acclaimed UEA’s 40th National Celebrations at Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE and production management for a selection of events including the Branson Family wedding on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands; the “Screw Business as Usual” book launch for Virgin Unite and the Elders Organisation general meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
