Lightfactor is one of the UK’s leading professional lighting sales company, with a long history and a track record of bringing innovative and dynamic technology to the market.
At this year’s PLASA Focus exhibition in Leeds, Lightfactor’s action-packed stand majors on new products from Italian lighting manufacturer DTS, for which it’s the exclusive UK distributor. This includes the Titan LED wash light, the XR3000 Spot and the new XR300 Beam which utilises FAR technology to give full 360 degrees rotation on both pan and tilt axes.
From Novalight, the ever popular Nova Flower 2K will be on show; from LDR a wide range of fresnels, profiles and PC fixtures, plus a brand new 2K discharge source follow spot.
From UK manufacturers Cogent will be a selection of the latest LEDs – white light, RGB and colour changing along with a selection of drivers including the new mains dimmable drivers.
DTS
Lightfactor is enjoying unprecedented success with DTS’s range of professional lighting products – including a full range of moving lights and a robust architectural LED range – since it became a distributor in September.
The new DTS TITAN LED units will be featured on the stand – available as full colour, RGBA, a single colour fixture or white and amber.
TITAN is an all new compact, self-contained LED projector designed for indoor and outdoor fixed and temporary installations.
TITAN RGBA has a rugged aluminium casing offering high resistance to mechanical and physical stress and an IP65 rating. It features an integrated power supply making it very easy to set up and use. A choice of 2 integrated power supplies with different protection ratings are available: IP20 (Powerconn + XLR connectors), and IP65 (Harting connectors) or trailing cables. TITAN range is also available without the integrated power supply.
Three dedicated lenses sets (Spot, Medium flood, Wide flood) are available for each model of TITAN, offering different beam projection angles and even coverage of the illuminated areas.
The TITAN range can be controlled via any DMX lighting console, and it is one of the brightest LED units on the market, with a luminosity of 4.388 Lux at 2 metres (using the spot lenses).
The XR300 BEAM is a new compact moving head with an extremely high light output that projects a concentrated parallel beam. With its new optical unit, the XR300 BEAM generates 135.000 Lux at 5 metres, using only a 300 W lamp, giving a great balance between performance and power consumption.
It is designed for a wide range of professional applications, like concerts, shows, tours, television, theatre and large events and extravaganzas.
The XR300 BEAM also features a breakthrough in moving-head technology – Free Axis Rotation (FAR). The FAR system allows limitless pan and tilt rotation, so the head rotates freely both horizontally or vertically and without interruption in either direction, so it never has to reverse the motion. This makes the movement parameter super fast.
Novalight
Lightfactor has put Novalight on the touring and rental sector map in the last 2 years, and on the stand is the ever popular Nova-Flower 2K. The fixture was initially developed for award-winning show designer and LD Willie Williams for U2’s phenomenal “360” tour, and since then has proved a real winner as a production model.
Nova-Flower 2K is a mega-bright, fully programmable ‘flower effect’ fixture with DMX controllable pan, tilt, colour shutter plus other standard features. Using a 2000W light source, this moving yoke fixture offers CMY mixing, rotating reflector (in both directions), pan/tilt and remote lamp re-strike. Nova-Flower can be used on the floor or mounted on truss, and can also be used in stand-alone mode programmed via the display buttons on its base. It has a weather-resistant IP 43 rating.
LDR
Lightfactor illustrates LDR’s wide range of theatrical fresnels, profiles and PC fixtures, plus a brand new 2K discharge source follow spot, the Canto 2000 th Mk2.
This is the most powerful dimmable follow spot in LDR’s current range and this upgraded, completely re-engineered MK2 version is now available from Lightfactor. Its full complement of operational features include a double condenser zoom optical system, double micro-switch interlock for safe lamp replacement and a large side handle to easily control pan and tilt movement. There is also an iris diaphragm and a mechanical dimmer. The mounting spigot, colour frame and 2 metres of mains cable are all included as standard, with a five-colour changer unit available as an optional extra.
Cogent from Cooper Controls
Lightfactor will also highlight some of UK LED manufacturer Cogent’s latest products. These will include directly mains dimmable drivers plus a replacement lamp for MR8, MR16 and AR111 type lamps. The lamps are available in white with varying colour temperatures plus several different colour options.
There will be a good selection of the comprehensive range of Cogent LED including Link-LED, strips, down lights, in-ground fittings and wall washers. These are available in various colours and different lamp options including RGB.
