German rental companies, Rain Age and Go Audio Rental, have augmented their inventories with Midas PRO6 live audio systems purchased from Midas’ German distributor Mega Audio.
“We have been long standing Midas fans since first using the XL200 and XL250,” says Rain Age managing director Pascal John. “We still have two H3000s on our books and now we are delighted to invest in Midas digital.”
Rain Age head of audio and lighting, Martin Heining, has been eager to acquire a PRO6 since first seeing one at Midas’ Kidderminster factory in 2008. “It didn’t even have a name then,” he says, “but I knew it was the future.”
“In our opinion,” Heining continues, “the PRO6 will become a worldwide audio standard. Rain Age provides high class audio, and we wanted to be one of the first German rental companies to offer Midas digital audio.”
Go Audio Rental managing director Bernd Wittenberg agrees. “We believe the PRO6 will be the next ‘first choice’ console, so for us it is a must have. And the sound is great.”
Go Audio Rental’s PRO6 is already out on tour with Finnish orchestral rock band Apocalyptica, who are covering the US and Canada up until the end of the year before returning to Europe in 2011 in support of their new album.
“I was interested in trying out the PRO6 after a great experience with an XL8 I used for one show in Poland,” says Apocalyptica’s FOH engineer Michael Bauer. “The preamps, and particularly the EQs, sound good. There’s no doubt that this is an excellent sounding board.”
Rain Age’s PRO6 will have its first outing on leading German rock band Sportfreunde Stiller’s upcoming 14 date tour which kicks off in Luxemburg in late November.
