Flightcase and loudspeaker solutions specialist Penn-Elcom has joined forces with California based Janal Cases – one of their long time valued customers – in a new year long initiative to help raise awareness of breast cancer to celebrate the 25th year of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM).
BCAM is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to all those affected by breast cancer.
Penn Elcom is donating pink grip handles to the initiative, which are being offered –fitted free of charge – on cases ordered by Janal’s customers for a donation of any size, starting at $25.00.
Muffie Alejandro from Janal Cases approached Penn-Elcom to be a partner in the fundraising idea, which was jointly announced by both companies at the 2012 NAMM Show in Anaheim this weekend, and will run until October 2012.
Says Penn-Elcom’s CEO Phil Stratford, “We are delighted to help Janal support such an important cause. Cancer touches so many people, and as a company we have always engaged with requests for charitable help.
An initial batch of 500 of the eye-catching pink grip handles have been delivered to Janal through Penn-Elcom’s California operation.
Muffie Alejandro comments, “We appreciate Penn’s support of this venture, and are proud to be part of the Penn family in the community”.
All the proceeds will go to two charities : The City of Hope and Susan G Komen.
