July sees Sennheiser reaching for the sky with the recruitment of Nick ‘Biggles’ Pemberton, one of the industry’s most well respected technical salesmen, as Business Development Manager for the company’s Installed Sound division.
Nick joins Sennheiser from the position of Digital Systems Manager at Yamaha Commercial Audio, where he became a familiar face in the industry and used his many years experience as a freelance sound engineer to aid a wide range of customers and end-users.
By bringing those high quality skills to Sennheiser, Nick will be a valuable addition to the company, tasked with developing business within the existing Installed Sound and Live Sound customer bases and pushing Sennheiser’s installed sound strategy forward in the south of England.
“Despite his nickname, Nick is thoroughly down to earth and a highly experienced audio professional,” says Ken Morrison, Business Area Manager for the company’s Installed Sound division. “I’m delighted to welcome him to Sennheiser UK, where I know he will be a huge asset.
“As a well known and respected figure in the industry, he brings the strength of some great relationships within the installed and live sound industries and a vast technical knowledge. He will be working very closely with Dave Wooster, myself and the rest of the team to further boost the acceptance of our distributed brands, such as DAS, K-Array, APart and Rane, as well as Sennheiser’s own products.”
“I am leaving a great bunch of people, but I’ve known Sennheiser for many years and I know I’m going to an equally great bunch,” adds Nick.
“The experience I’ve gained to date will help to improve customer relations, provide additional technical assistance and make sure Sennheiser UK’s customers have all the support they need. The aim is that I will become the main point of contact for Sennheiser UK’s installed sound operation and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
