Lighting, control and dimming manufacturer ETC is gearing up for this year’s PLASA show with a host of new and updated products.
The Selador series of LED fixtures will be making its PLASA debut, proving that superior colour rendering and qualities for theatrical lighting can come from an energy efficient source. A candidate for PLASA’s Innovation Award 2009 and featuring the patented x7 Color System, the three Selador models produce a light and colour quality that conventional LED systems cannot duplicate. This unique system produces bright broad-spectrum whites and intense colours equally well, rendering pigments and skin tones in a far more natural way.
Also showing for the first time will be ETC’s Unison Mosaic show control – a system which allows you to add entertainment style control into your architectural lighting system. Based on award winning Pharos show control technologies, Mosaic comprises a range of accessories and can control between 500 and 100,000 channels.
Also on the stand will be SmartBar 2, the next generation of SmartBar dimming. These small, portable dimmers come in two lengths with four or six power outlets and have an all new electronic design with the familiar Smart product user interface. The SmartBar 2 also supports RDM.
The fourth and final new product on demonstration will be Element, ETC’s newest lighting control desk – a system designed with smaller theatrical venues and schools in mind. This no-fuss system targets conventional lighting control in smaller venues. Perfect for student and volunteer staff, Element redefines the basics of lighting control. When conventional accessories, LED fixtures or moving lights are added to the rig, the press of a button accesses the On Demand ML Controls, giving direct control of complex devices via a mouse or touch screen.
All this, plus ETC’s established, award-winning lighting control desks from the Eos and Congo lines, the ever-popular Source Four luminaire and the Smart Solutions range of dimming and control at ETC’s stand at PLASA, stand number 1-G39, just beside the huge bar and business lounge in the centre of Hall 1.
