Stage Electrics are going through a bit of a divorce at the moment, it’s all very amicable though and it’s planned to allow them to provide a better service working independently from each other. The Sales side of the business has won custordy over the name “Stage Electrics” which we all know and are familiar with and with it the warehouse. So, the Hire and Events team have left the building and in doing so have formed a new company called SLX! The new SLX brand has been inspired by the expertise and experience of 35 years in the industry. Now focusing all its energy in Hire and Events the talented and professional former Stage Electrics team of technical and creative staff will continue to provide solutions to its theatre, broadcast and event customers.
Operating from a brand new facility, located just down the road from thier previous Bristol premises SLX has committed to continue its investment program with several million pounds invested in hire equipment, technology and infrastructure in the last year alone.
The new warehouse provides pre-show and production facilities whilst thier fleet will continue to deliver to customers throughout the UK and Europe. The former Stage Electrics branches in London and Exeter are now operating as part of SLX and will continue to provide event and hire solutions wherever they are required.
They will continue to focus on their core strengths of combining technical delivery with creative thinking. It is hoped this will allow SLX to continue a collaborative and flexible approach, partnering with customers and tailoring complete solutions whatever challenges are faced.
Trevor Smallwood, executive chairman comments “It’s an exciting time for us at SLX, new premises and new brand coupled with a huge amount of experience and passion born out of a legacy that we are all very proud of.”
As the team expands further key appointments will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
