Belgium based XL-Technologies supplied two customised Pixled F-30 screens for the flagship Mercedes Benz Gallery showroom in Berlin.
XL-Technologies was commissioned to build the screens by leading Frankfurt based design agency Atelier Markgraph. The company was recommended to provide a bespoke LED solution for the project by rental partner XL Video, which has worked on a variety of Motor Show Mercedes stands designed by Markgraph.
The two specially shaped screens are different sizes and flown at different angles in the showroom, Each has staggered edges and is made up from specially adapted and sized Pixled modules.
Screen 1 consists of 22 Pixled modules giving a full screen area of 20.6 square metres, with a plasma monitor inset at the lower levels. The second screen is constructed from 30 Pixled F-30 panels, making up a total surface area of 29.7 square metres, with a much larger plasma monitor inset.
In total, 4 different special sizes of Pixled modules were adapted for the installation, and the ability to be able to customise the Pixled so easily was also important in the choice of LED.
XL-Technologies is the worldwide distributor for Pixled products, which is lightweight, versatile, easy to assemble and rig …. and also very affordable. It’s also known for its reliability and low power consumption, which was another important consideration for this project.
Atelier Markgraph was already familiar with Pixled, having used the F-11 on the Mercedes stand at the Frankfurt Motor Show to produce a spectacular banner wrapping the entire stand, which occupied a whole hall.
Their team and the XL-Technologies LED Labs worked closely to develop the specific screen requirements for this installation and XL-Technologies then sent a team to site to fit the full screens into the available space. The screens show eye-catching video playback content and animations.
